Lost Pet Search
A Watchful Eye in the Sky When They Wander
DJI Matrice 4T, Thermal-Imaging Capable
What This Service Is — and Isn't
A thermal drone narrows down high-probability hiding spots and covers open ground fast — it's a tool, not a guarantee.
Dense evergreen cover, thick underbrush, culverts, and areas under porches or decks can hide a heat signature even from a high-resolution thermal camera.
A ground team (owner, family, neighbors) working alongside the flight — walking to any coordinates dropped — meaningfully improves the odds of a live recovery.
Every sighting is marked with a GPS pin and relayed immediately; I do not hover directly over a scared animal, which can cause it to bolt further.
Every pet deserves to make it home.
Example of Thermal Technology to Locate Your Lost Pet
A small group of deer grazing in the early morning.
How It Works
1. Call or Text
You'll reach me directly, not a dispatcher. I'll ask a few quick questions to plan the search: where your pet was last seen, how long ago, the terrain, and your pet's size and color.
2. I launch when I'm available.
If I can take the search, I head out as soon as conditions allow. Using the DJI Matrice 4T's thermal imaging, I can detect a heat signature in dense brush, fields, or wooded terrain, even in full dark, that's invisible to the eye or a flashlight.
3. Live search, real-time feedback.
I fly a systematic grid pattern over the search area. If I spot a heat signature that could be your pet, I mark it with a GPS pin and relay the location to you immediately.
4. You get an honest outcome.
If we don't find your pet on the first flight, I'll tell you plainly what the search covered, what's left, and whether a follow-up flight makes sense.

Does thermal actually work for finding pets?
Thermal detects body heat, not species — so it shows me something is there, and I still have to confirm visually (with the drone's camera or in person) that it's your pet and not wildlife. I'll always tell you what I actually saw versus what I'm inferring.
What conditions can you fly in?
Night and low-light are actually when thermal works best. Heavy rain, high wind, or dense fog can ground a flight — I'll be upfront if conditions aren't safe to fly.
What if you don't find my pet?
No guarantees — but you'll get a clear picture of what was searched and what wasn't, so you can decide on next steps. A Return Visit is available at half the original fee.
What does this cost?
See the pricing above. A quick phone triage call is free and helps confirm this is the right fit before I dispatch. Payment is due after the search, invoiced by email — no deposit required.
Do I need to be home during the search?
Helpful but not required — knowing the pet's habits, favorite hiding spots, or last known direction makes the search faster.
